Lamborghini releases a roadster version of the Veneno hypercar.

Lamborghini presents officially today the roadster of the Veneno « hypercar » unveiled at the 2013 Geneva autoshow. This new version of the Veneno will be one of the most exclusive cars on the planet: only 9  will be built and sold for 3.3 millions euros (plus taxes). Only three Veneno coupe were built.

Claimed performance is as extreme as every other characteristic of the car: 2.9 s for the 0-100 km/h acceleration, and a top speed of 355 km/h . The 6.5L V12 engine is a close derivative from the Aventador, but tuned here to 750 hp. Claimed dry weight is 1490 kg, corresponding to a 1.99 kg/hp power-to-weight ratio. The 7 ratio ISR gearbox sends torque to all four wheels. The shell and all body panels are made of CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer).
