With the One:1, Koenigsegg redefines new benchmarks for hypercars.

The Koenisgegg One:1 crosses several symbolic thresholds. First, its power-to-weight ratio of 1 kg per hp, hence its name. Then power. A discrete ‘MW’ marking on the rear designation plate hints that it is the first car to put out 1 megawatt, or 1360 hp at 7500 rpm for a torque of more than 1000 Nm from 3000 to 8000 rpm, with a peak at 1371 Nm at 6000 rpm. The task to channel this biblical torque to the rear wheels is entrusted to a 7-gear twin clutch gearbox. And the icing on the cake: this monter engine is Euro 6 emissions compliant. For reference, the Agera S – and the Hundra version unveiled in 2013 to celebrate the 100th car produced by the swedish outfit – is built around a 5 litre twin turbo V8 of putting out 1030 hp, and 1000 Nm of torque from 2700 rpm, and peaking at 1100 Nm from 4100 rpm.

Performance figures are astounding: 0-400 km/h in 20 seconds ! The 400-0 km/h breaking exercize is covered in 10 seconds, and the 100-0 km/h in 28 meters.

According to Christian Koenigsegg, the One:1, thanks to its active aero, is capable of 2G lateral acceleration on road legal tires. Downforce is 610kg at 260 km/h and 830kg at 440 km/h. The One:1 production run will be 5 cars, in addition to the development car presented on the Geneva autoshow stand.

Dimensions are 4500 mm in length, 2060 mm in width and 1150 mm in height. Wheelbase is 2662 mm. Kerb weight is claimed at 1360kg with all fluids and half a tank of gas, with a 44% front and 56% rear distribution. Koenigsegg does not cheat with dry weight figures, the claimed power-to-weight ratio of the One:1 appears legitimate. The price tag ? 2.8 millions US$.
