Polestar Precept: thou shall be sustainable
Polestar only discloses scant details on the car itself. A long 3.1m wheelbase accomodates a large but unspecified battery pack in the floor. Classic mirrors have been replaced by digital elements such as those found on the Audi e-tron or Lexus ES. There is no rear window: the center mirror is digital as well.
Polestar continues to collaborate with Google on a multimedia interface natively based on the Android operating system. The 15″ center display is used for infotainment purposes while a 12.5″ element is placed in the axis of the steering wheel. Polestar also leverages eye tracking technology to manage display content and monitor driver attention in assisted driving modes. A low profile LIDAR module is mounted on the top of the windscreen.
The Polestar Precept will unveiled at the 2020 Geneva autoshow. Precept follows the Polestar 1 hybrid coupe, the Polestar 2 compact electric sedan due for first deliveries late 2020, and an upcoming Polestar 3 SUV.
