BMW 3 series Gran Turismo

BMW officially presents the third variant of the 3 series range: the Gran Turismo.

Aimed at filling the gap between a dynamic sedan and a practical  wagon, the Gran Turismo is no less than 200mm longer and +81mm taller, with a wheelbase increase of 110mm compared to the Touring wagon. Interior space, front and rear, as well as luggage compartment capacity benefit from these increases.

Under the hood, BMW proposes at launch a choice of 3 petrol engines ranging from 184 to 306 hp (320i, 328i and 335i), as well as two 4 cylinder 2.0L turbodiesels delivering 143 and 184hp respectively. The standard transmission is a 6 gear manual, with an 8 gear torque converter automatic available as an option. Prices announced for the german market put the Gran Turismo at a 1800€ premium over the Touring wagon with equivalent engines.
