Thank you! The new ‪#‎Lamborghini‬ Huracán got so many Likes and already 700 orders in one month.

Winkelmann annonce 1000 commandes en deux mois de vente et que le record de ventes de la Gallardo (1844 en une année) sera battu en 2015.
Le record de ventes de la marque (2,430 en 2008) pourrait par voie de conséquence être également dépassé en 2015.

Un premier semestre 2014 plutôt morose pour Lamborghini en attendant que les livraisons de Huracan démarrent: 956 unités contre 1166 l'an passé, soit -18%.

Ai découvert par hasard qqchose que j'ignorais: Lamborghini a été en mains suisses dans les années 70 et 80.

Georges-Henri Rossetti a d'abord acheté 51% des parts à Ferrucio Lamborghini, puis les 49% restants sont acquis par René Leimer.
Un autre suisse, Patrick Mimran prendra ensuite la direction puis le contrôle dans les année 1980, avant de vendre à Chrysler en 1987.

Période mouvementée et plutôt stérile de l'histoire de la marque.

J'avais du en discuter avec eux il y a quelques années lors d'une visite...

Et ça a démarré au second semestre: les ventes 2014 ont passé de 2,121 à 2,530 voitures, soit +19% !
Sauf que si on regarde plus loin, les ventes 2007 étaient de ... 2406 unités. Donc Lamborghini est revenu à ses niveaux d'avant crise des subprimes.

Et les volumes ne leur permettraient pas de survivre sans les synergies avec Audi.

Interview intéressante de Stephan Winkelmann dans ANE:

What is your outlook for the ultra-luxury market as a whole this year?

If there are no major changes to the global economy, we see a stable market at about 30,000 cars, which is good for us because we are growing in terms of market share. The overall market has been growing since it dropped to about 20,000 during the financial crisis in 2008 and 2009.

And for Lamborghini?

It’s too early to give any full-year sales expectations, but what I can tell you is that we entered 2015 with a solid order book. There is a seven-month waiting time for the Aventador. Last year we received 3,300 orders for the Huracan and we still have almost 2,200 to deliver so those are good signs.

Does Lamborghini need to set a ceiling for its annual output?

We don’t see a reason for this. Last year more than 80 million cars were sold globally. Of that we sold about 2,500. The most important thing is that you always sell less than demand. The brand’s desirability must stay high and you can never try to push cars into the market.

What did you learn from the Asterion plug-in hybrid concept that you debuted last year?

The car has very fast acceleration and a high top speed but adding all that weight [from the plug-in hybrid powertrain] clearly reduced the handling. It would never beat an Aventador or Huracan on the racetrack. So we decided this car would be better suited for daily use, and if that’s the case we would want to offer more roominess inside.

Will the Asterion be built?

If we speak about a third model, our idea is very clear: It’s the SUV. The Asterion is a technology demonstrator. If we were to pick a model to bring hybridization to the brand, it would be the SUV because it would be heavier than a super sports car and it would be a better choice in terms of overall packaging.

So if the Urus SUV is approved for output, it will have a plug-in variant?

That could be one of the engines.

Quelqu'un a des infos sur les futurs moteurs/solutions qu'a retenu Lamnorghini pour le futur? Car je ne vois pas comment ils pourraient garder les v10 et v12 en l'état avec les nouvelles normes. Bref, là ou Ferrari et les autres passent tous au downsizing et Turbo obligatoire.

Ils n'en parlent pas à ma connaissance.

Il est clair que la R8 sortira ultiérieurement en V8 4.0 biturbo, donc la Huracan pourrait également en bénéficier.
Le cas de l'Aventador est plus épineux car j'imagine le châssis spécifique.
De toute manière, les moyens de Lamborghini semble être désormais dévolus au développement du SUV Urus, avec une solution hybride plus que vraisemblable (voir interview qui précède).
